Summary Sunday

I have decided that Sundays are my day of reflection - a time to think back on the things that occurred during the week that made me happy, that brought a smile to my face, that made me laugh, inspired me, simply brought joy to my day, maybe made me proud. Things that I am Thankful for. I want to share these with you every week - a way to focus on the positives - and to help see that  yes! life is great and that I have alot to be grateful for.

I was treated to some very rare "me time" this week - and given the gift of a pedicure and deluxe manicure! So very lovely - relaxing and replenishing - just what was needed. I also got to have some shopping time by myself - and a night out to dinner with Mr Dandy! Now that's something to smile about!

This photo of Finn makes me smile every time I see it ! He had such a lovely time baking with his Gran ( Mr Dandy's Mum) - he just loves spending time with her and they have lots of fun!

I just love the colours of the vegies all cut up ready for a stir-fry! It looks so pretty... not to mention that it provides nourishment for my family! ( see - it's the simple things!)

Is it completely shallow to say that getting the cooktop that I've been looking at for a while for my new kitchen ( more about that too later) made me happy? Well... it did!

I'm happy that I found this clock and wicker heart to go on my new (read: upcycled) entrance foyer unit ... they were just the things I was looking for to go with a couple of other coveted items!

I love love love the fact that when I was in the kitchen baking yesterday afternoon, Ruby yells out from reading a book in the lounge room "MUMMY,MUMMY,MUMMY" in an urgent tone... so I rush to see what's happened: to see her smiling up at me, and she says "I love you"! So sweet! What a beautiful nature - how could that not make me smile and my heart overflow with joy?

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope, with everything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in Angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in Angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream ~ I have a dream

 I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in Angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in Angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream ~ I have a dream
I'll cross the stream ~ I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope, with everything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in Angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in Angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream ~ I have a dream
I'll cross the stream ~ I have a dream

This ABBA song has brought me alot of smiles, tears, inspiration and meditation time this week - and I am loving it for that! You can listen to it here

It made me smile when Finn called the windscreen wipers "whooshers" !

These next images reflect why I am grateful and thankful for today!

Thankful that the weather cleared long enough for the kids to enjoy the freedom and fun of a play in the park for their Aunty's 21st Birthday....

Happy that Finn had the confidence and humour to lead the singing of  "Happy Birthday" standing on the bench playing his "guitar" ! ( And that those gathered had the humour to go along with it)

What were the highlights of your week?
